Paper covers. The 360 horse power Aero Engine produced by Rolls-Royce in 1920 refers to the Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII. While the original Eagle was designed for 200 hp in 1915, constant refinements led to the Eagle VIII becoming the definitive version of the era, famously powering the first non-stop transatlantic flight in 1919. A small pamphlet- type book with only 10 pages this copy is in good condition despite some minor flaws. Bound in the original blue lightly faded paper wraps, with an ink stamp and signature to the covers and an ink stamp to the title page. The rest of the pages are lightly foxed although generally clean. A rare title and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Mary's Books.
