This 1971 First Edition book provides a detailed and personal look at one of the most distinguished auxiliary squadrons of the Second World War. Frank Ziegler draws heavily from his own experiences and the squadron's oficial diaries to create a narrative that focuses on the people, both the pilots and the crew, rather than combat reports. This copy has been signed by several members of the squadron, to the front free endpaper. The dust jacket is unclipped, however worn to the extremities. There are the remains of a small sticker to the front. Underneath lie navy cloth boards which despite a little bumping are in very good condition. The pages within are clean and illustrated with several black and white photographic plates. pp. 352.
