The Flight Of Alcock & Brown 14-15 June 1919

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Putnam

Hardback. A 1955 First Edition copy. This book chronicles the first successful non-stop transatlantic flight, a feat achieved by British aviators Captain John Alcock and Lieutenant Arthur Whitten Brown eight years before Charles Lindbergh's famous solo crossing. Or copy is complete with it's unclipped pictorial dust jacket over red cloth boards. There is some edge wear to the dust jacket and a slight lean to the spine. Ex-libris label to the front free endpaper and the very occasional spot of foxing, otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated with several black and white photographic images. pp. 312. Overall a good copy. A lovely addition to any aviation library.
