This manual associated with H.M.S. Fisgard was a specialised training text used for the education of Royal Navy Artificers and engineers. H.M.S. Fisgard served as a major shore based engineering training establishment in Portsmouth and later Torpoint until its closure in 1983. This copy is bound with paper covered boards which show some discolouration. There is tape down the length of the spine while internally the text block is a little loose. Ink stamp dated 20 Sep 1915 and signatures to the front free endpaper with a small previous owner's label to the rear. The pages are toned with the occasional thumb mark, although generally clean, superbly illustrated with several detailed line drawings. A scarce copy and part of a huge aviation collection.
