Hardback. A 1938, First Edition copy of Oloff De Wet's memoir as a fighter pilot during the Spanish Civil War. De Wet who later became a notable sculptor and secret agent, served as a volunteer fighter pilot for the Republican air force during the conflict. Our copy is complete with it's unclipped dust jacket, however, it is worn with pieces missing to the extremities. There is a small round sticker placed just under the author's name to the spine. Underneath the orange cloth boards are bright with the exception of fading along the top edge of the spine. There is also a slight lean to the spine. Previous owner's signature to the front and rear free endpapers. Light foxing to the prelims otherwise a good clean copy. pp. 343. A scarce copy complete with it's dust jacket. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
