A 1955 First Edition copy complete with its dust jacket. Philip H. Godsell's classic historical narrative detailing the adventurous lives of Canada's early bush pilots. The book focuses on the pioneering era of northern aviation, primarily in the district north and northwest of Edmonton. The dust jacket on this copy is a little worn with tape repair to its underside. While the blue cloth boards underneath show a little discolouration to the rear. The pages within are very clean throughout and illustrated with photographic plates. pp. xii + 225. Overall a fascinating biography of legendary pilots such as W.R. "Wop" May, "Punch" Dickens, "Doc"Oaks and mechanics known as The Black Gang.
