The Science of Flight. Aeroplanes, Seaplanes and Aero Engines is the second of a two volume set written by Captain P.H. Sumner. This technical work serves as a comprehensive review of heavier-than-air flight during the interwar period, focusing on the mechanics and engineering of modern aviation. This copy is bound in light blue cloth with embossed title to the front and gilt titles to the spine. The spine has darkened a little with a white numerical mark to the base, and bumping to the corners, however the book still presents well, showing minimal wear. Ex-library copy. There is an ex-libris label and library stamp to the front paste-down as well as a library stamp to the verso of the title page and to the rear. The pages throughout are generally clean. pp. xv + 295. Overall a good copy of a scarce title.
