A detailed and informative history of early aviation featuring several black and white photographic plates illustrating early aircraft and pioneering aviators. This copy is bound in full red cloth with titles in gilt to the spine. The binding shows a little bumping to the corners and fading to the spine, although shows very little other wear, with the cloth to the boards bright. Internally there is a presentation label to the front paste-down, dated 1927, the rest of the pages are clean. The text block is a little loose due to cracking to the rear internal hinge. pp. x + 374. Overall a good addition to any aviation library.
