Air Adventure Edited by "Flight Lieutenant", a pseudonym often used by the prolific adventure writer, W.E. Johns, author of the Biggles series. Published around 1936 this volume is an anthology featuring short stories from several popular aviation adventure authors of the era. This copy is complete with it's dust jacket. Handsomely bound in quarter red cloth with paper-covered sides, it features a bright and clean front pictorial board. There is minor staining to the base of the spine, otherwise the binding is in good condition. The dust jacket shows some wear and fading, with a piece missing to the base of the spine, it has also been covered in a clear adhesive wrap. The pages are toned with notation to the illustration page and the occasional spot of foxing. Illustrated with four coloured plates, including frontispiece, and four in monotone. pp. 248. Authors included in this anthology are, Geo. E. Rochester, C.G. Barker, W.E. Johns, William Hansboro, Rolf Marben, "Vigilant" and Kenneth Quintrel. Overall a good copy, scarce to find complete with it's dust jacket.
