A scarce early account of military aviation as practised by the Germans at the onset of World War 1. Published in 1914 and written by H. Massac Buist. This copy has an inscription from the author to the front free endpaper. Complete with its dust jacket the book is bound in red cloth with embossed detail to the front and gilt titles to the spine. The dust jacket is worn with pieces missing to the extremities. Previously covered in clear adhesive wrap, the dust jacket shows paper reinforcement on the underside. There is an embossed stamp to the rear endpapers, otherwise the pages are very clean. Illustrated with several diagrams and a monotone frontispiece. pp. ix + 128 + 8. Overall a scarce title complete with its dust jacket and authors signature. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
