A History Of The Air Ministry is a definitive historical and operational overview of the British Air Ministry, written by the prominent and controversial aviation journalist Charles Cooper Grey. This first edition published in 1940 was released at a critical juncture during World War II. It documented how the UK managed its military and civil aviation from the dawn of state-controlled flying through the early stages of the conflict. This copy complete with its unclipped dust jacket is in remarkable condition, with inscription from the author to the front free endpaper. The dust jacket is a little toned with small closed tear to the extremities, while there is a little bowing to the boards underneath. The pages are clean, with two folding diagrams to the rear. pp. 319. A rare signed copy. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
