Pinpoint The Bomber

Francis Chichester

Pinpoint The Bomber is a game based, instructional air navigation training book written by the famous aviator and sailor Francis Chichester published in 1942. Created at the height of World War II, this uncommon work was designed as a "wargame" to help Royal Air Force Bomber Command pilots and navigators improve their map-reading and targeting skills before flying real operations over Continental Europe. Our copy is complete with its unclipped dust jacket, which despite closed tears and chipping to the extremities, still presents well. Underneath the green cloth baords are in excellent condition. The pages are clean, although a little loose, with the large map to the rear of the book and the folding "Key to the large map" still present and intact. Overall an unusual title and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books
