Edition: First Edition
Published By: John Murray
This book details how the heavily besieged British Island fortress of Malta, served as a critical operational base to attack and cripple Axis supply lines in the Mediterranean, ultimely turning the tide of World War II in North Africa. This is a First Edition copy, signed by the author to the half title page on an ex-libris label. Overall a very good copy complete with its dust jacket, which despite a little edge wear, is in very good condition. There is a minor blemish along the fore-edge of the text block. Internally the pages are very clean, illustrated with several black and white photographs. pp. xxi + 358. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
