This early work, published in 1911, explores the tactical integration of military aviation, airships, and early aeroplanes into modern warfare just before World War I. Written by a highly respected French artillery officer General Jean Challéat. The paper covers on this copy have been covered in a glassine wrap which does show a little wear. Small piece missing to the top of the spine, to both the glassine wrap and the paper covers underneath. The pages are slightly toned with some creasing to the corners. There is a previous owners' signature to the front free end-paper. vi + 80. A scarce copy and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books.
