A 1954 third printing of this famous title, originally published in 1948, as "Rockets and Space Travel". It was re-named "Rockets, Missiles And Space Travel" reflecting the post-war emergence of ballistic missiles such as the V-2. This copy is complete with its unclipped dust jacket which despite some toning is in good condition. The red cloth boards, underneath are bright and clean. There is a previous owners' ink stamp to the front free endpaper, the rest of the pages appear unread. Illustrated with several black and white photographs and diagrams. pp. xii + 436. A good copy and a lovely addition to any aviation library.
