Handbook of Aerial Bombs Plus Supplementary Leaflet Details Of Aerial Bombs

Published By: Printed for His Majesty's Stationery Office by Harrison And Sons

A fascinating manual in two parts, originally published in 1915. The volumes include a full description and instructions for the loading and fuzing of High Explosive and Incendiary Bombs, also instructions for the use of parachute flares, smoke bombs, and ground flares. These volumes both contain ink stamps "Property of Chaz Bowyer" to several pages. Handbook of Aerial Bombs, this is the reprinted, with amendments, of July, 1916, is bound with brown paper covers with staple fasteners. There are a few loose pages as well as light foxing, one page has been repaired.  However, it remains in good condition and illustrated with several diagrams, with some folding. Details of Aerial Bombs, published 1918, is the supplement to Handbook. It is bound in brown card with string fastening. There is a little discolouration to the covers with pen notation and ink stamp (Chaz Bowyer) to the front. Internally the pages are clean, save for the occasional ink stamp and thumb mark. Illustrated with several folding diagrams and black and white photographs. A scarce and fascinating title and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books
