This Air Publication No. 1566E is the definitive technical manual for the Short Sunderland V, covering structural descriptions, systems, and maintenance for ground crews. It acts as the descriptive and servicing handbook, complementing the separate Pilot's And Flight Engineer's Notes, which is included. The manual is quarter bound in cloth with paper covered sides and fastened with string. There is a pictorial paper onlay of the Sunderland to the front. The manual is divided into sections and profusely illustrated with diagrams. Overall a very good copy despite light wear to the binding, pen mark to the rear. There is a little notation and foxing to the pages, however the pages are very clean. This manual comes complete with the "Pilot's And Flight Engineer's Notes". This copy is bound with paper covers which are slightly faded. Small pen notation along the top edge of the front cover and minor neat written notes on a few interior pages. Several text sections feature corrections made with neat cover-up labels. Clear tape has been placed down the internal hinges on a few of the pages. Illustrated with several black and white photographs. A rare and fascinating manual, a must for any aviation enthusiast.
