Report On The Cairo-Cape Flight carried out between 1st March and 21st June, 1926. Air Publication 1271

Published By: Air Ministry

This publication documents the Royal Air Force's 1926 Cairo-Cape flight, a 14,000 mile, four month expedition led by Wing Commander C.W.H. Pulford using Fairey IIID biplanes. The mission validated long-range strategic mobility, demonstrating exceptional mechanical reliability and efficient ground support across Africa. This copy, published in April 1927 is bound with paper covers. Although the covers are lightly faded with a slight pencil mark to the front, they are in good condition. The pages are clean with just the occasional spot of foxing, fold out map to the rear. pp. 100. Overall a very good copy and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books.
