Squier, the Chief Signal Officer of the United States Army. Presented before the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and published in 1919. The report details the meteoric expansion, industrial triumphs, and technological breakthroughs of American military aviation during its 19-month involvement in World War I. This copy bound in burgundy cloth with bright gilt titles to the front. There is a little bumping and wear to the binding. This is an ex-library copy with numbers in white to the base of the spine. The remains of a label and ink stamp to the front end-papers. Ink signature to the verso of the front free end-paper and ink stamp to one of the pages. The rest of the pages are clean, illustrated with several black and white photographs. The ink stamp on one of the pages has been crossed out, leaving indentations on the pages underneath. Overall a good copy. pp. 64. A fascinating copy and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books.
