Sporting Aviation Handbook is a historical publication first realeased in 1936 by the Contest Board National Aeronautic Association. The handbook was published out of the NAA's DuPont Circle headquarters in Washington, D.C. serving as the definitive regulatory guide for sanctioning domestic air sports, timing official race events, and verifying flight records. Our First Edition copy, published in 1936, is bound in navy card covers with navy cloth spine. It is in good condition despite a little fading to the card covers, with a closed tear to the rear. The spine has a small piece missing to the base and light fraying to the top. The paper title band is almost completey missing. Internally there is an Aero Club ink stamp to the title page. The rest of the pages, although toned are clean. A scarce title and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
