Instructions For Rolls-Royce Aero Engines "Eagle" Series I.to VIII. "Falcon" Series 1., II., and III is a highly collectable World War I era technical manual published by Rolls-Royce Limited. Designated book no. 244 by the Air Board Technical Department. This manual provided the official operation, maintenance and teardown procedures for the company's pioneering liquid-cooled V-12 engine. Our copy, published in December 1917 is bound in brown cloth with printed titles in black to the front. It is in very good condition considering its age and use with just light wear to the binding. Internally there is a neat signature dated, 1918 to the front free end-paper. The rest of the pages are very clean. An early attempt at repair has left a strip of white cloth tape down the internal hinge of one of the pages. pp. 116. A scarce copy and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
