The official technical report by the Accidents Investigation Sub-Committee attributed the crash of the Junkers F-13ge aeroplane, registration G-AAZK, at Meopham, Kent, on the 21st July 1930, to a structural failure caused by an aerodynamic phenomenon known as tail buffeting. Published in January, 1931 under Report No. R & M 1360. This landmark investigation marked the very first time an air accident report was made public in the United Kingdom. It also introduced the term buffeting into the standard lexicon of aviation forensics. This copy bound with paper covers and loosely tied with string is in good condition. There are ink stamps to the front cover and general fading to the covers however, they remain in good condition. The pages are lightly toned with a little foxing and illustrated with diagrams and photographic images. pp. 92.
