This manual comprises information relating to the installation of Fiat A 12, Fiat A 12 BIS, Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII., Puma, And Liberty Engines In The F.B. 27a Vickers' Mark II. "Vimy" bomber. Air publication 383 by Air Commodore R. Brooke-Popham, Director of Research at the Air Ministry and previously the Controller of Air Production. Robert Brooke-Popham oversaw the technical evaluations, and structural integration of various engines into the Vickers Vimy airframe. This copy, published in May 1919 is quarter bound in brown cloth with paper covered sides. The binding is worn with creasing to the boards, an ink stamp to the front and fading to the spine. Internally the text block is loose with cracking to the internal hinge. Commensurate with its' use and age. The pages are clean despite the occasional foxing, and superbly illustrated with several technical drawings and photographs. pp. 245. A scarce copy and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
