Written by Wing Commander Thomas Stanley Rippon during his service in the Royal Army Medical Corps and Royal Air Force Medical Services, in 1919. The research by Rippon provided the earliest systematic frameworks for the psychological and physiological evaluation of military pilots. His findings directly shaped the Royal Air Force's early approach to mitigating flying stress and selecting candidates who possessed the right resilience. This copy is quarter bound in cloth with card sides. There is a little fading and foxing to the sides with a neat inscription signed by the author along the top edge of the front cover. Internally the pages are clean, despite a little rust from the staples. The title page has a vertical piece missing from the fore-edge, the rest of the pages are in good order. pp. 52. Overall a good copy of a rare title, a must for any aviation enthusiast.
