Star Compass Longitude Finder Star Clock and Planisphere is a rare Second World War era navigation guide and mechanical instrument designed by the legendary British aviator and solo sailor Sir Francis Chichester. Published in 1945, the multi-functional cardboard and plastic calculating tool was engineered to aid both student and experienced Allied military navigators when standard map-based navigation was impossible. Our copy has a lovely inscription from Francis Chichester to H.A.Taylor to the half title page. The book is in a lovely clean condition and displays just slight toning to the pages, the front board is slightly pulling away at the base. Overall a very good copy and a lovely addition to any aviation library.
