Air Transport and Civil Aviation 1944-45 is an aviation referenece book published during the closing stages of the Second World War with The RT. Hon. Lord Brabazon Of Tara serving as advisory editor. A highly influential British aviation pioneer, the first Englishman to pilot a heavier-than-air machine in England, and the former Wartime Minister of Aircraft production. The dust jacket with a lovely pictorial cover is worn with chipping to the extremities, as well as a small piece missing towards the centre of the spine. The blue cloth boards underneath are faded to the extremities although still present well. There is a previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper as well as foxing towards the rear. The rest of the pages are very clean. pp. 311. A scarce title and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
