St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1926 first edition of "The Land" by Vita Sackville-West. Housed in its stunning original pictorial dustjacket featuring a dramatic print of scythes, this hardback book is bound in terracotta coloured cloth with a white paper title band on the spine. Inside, one finds 107 pages of Sackville-West's georgic celebration of the landscape, seasons, and agricultural traditions which serves as a homage to the English countryside. This copy is in good to very good condition. Though the original dustjacket has been remarkably well-preserved, with only a few minor bumps to the corners and edges, the book itself remains largely bright and clean, other than some significant foxing to the front and rear free endpapers. However, the boards, and the remainder of the interior pages are unblemished. "The Land" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any poetry lover.
