L'Aeroplane De L'Avenir is a rare French aeronautical booklet written by Henry Picq and published in Paris by the Librairie aeronautique in 1910. The publication is a short 19 page proposal written during the pioneering era of aviation, just after Louis Bleriot's famous cross-channel flight in 1909. Picq's treatise explicitly advocates for an improved system of paddle-wheel propellers to propel aircraft instead of the standard fixed-wing design used at the time. Our copy of this fascinating booklet is illustrated with several technical drawings and bound with green paper covers. It remains in good condition despite several ink stamps and toning. pp. 19. A scarce title and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Mary's Books. French Text.
