Written during the height of World War II, this book provides an invaluable account of the American Volunteer Group ( AVG) popularly known as the "Flying Tigers" and their legendary leader General Claire Lee Chennault. This copy published in 1943 is a third impression of this classic non-fiction military biography. It has been signed by the author to the title page. The book is bound in blue cloth and displays some discolouration to the sides with fading to the spine. There is a previous owner's signature and several ink stamps to the prelims however the rest of the pages are clean. pp. x + 276. Overall a must have copy for any aviation enthusiast.
