Crusader The story of the Shelton Flying Wing, it's company and its creator is a highly regarded, limited edition book written by aviation historian and author Alexander Roca. Published in 1989, this detailed corporate and technological history chronicles the rise and fall of one of the most stunning, ahead of its time experimental aircraft of the 1930's, the Shelton AG-4 Crusader. This scarce book is complete with its dust jacket. The dust jacket is a little discoloured with closed tears and edge wear. However, it is complete and generally in good condition. Underneath lie gold coloured boards with white printed pictorial to the front and titles to the spine. The front endpapers and half title page show a few light thumb marks, however the rest of the pages are clean. It features over 300 pieces of historic aviation artwork, twelve specialised colour plates and rare, previously unreleased photos of Amelia Earhart checking out the plane. A remarkable and scarce book, a must for any aviation enthusiast.
