The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome written by E. Gordon Bainbridge was an early aviation enthusiast and close friend of Cole Palen, the founder of The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. Published in 1977, this book chronicles how founder Cole Palen purchased a swampy, hilly piece of property in New York and transformed it into a world renowned living history museum. This copy has an inscription and illustration signed from the author and an unknown to the front free endpaper. Ex-libris label, possibly who the inscription was original intended for, to the front paste down. This book also has a colour photograph lightly pasted onto the half title page, with the names, C. Palen and D. Penrose lightly written in pencil underneath. The dust jacket has a small closed tear along the top of the front cover and fading to the spine. Otherwise, this is a near fine copy displaying very little wear. This book would make a lovely addition to any aviation library.
