The Odyssey Of Homer Done Into English Prose, this copy published in 1887, is a landmark translation of Homer's epic poem. It was co-translated by classical scholar S.H. Butcher and literary critic Andrew Lang. This copy has been bound in rich blue cloth with bright gilt titles to the spine. The binding presents well despite light discolouration and a slight lean to the spine. There is an ink stamp to one of the prelims, the rest of the pages are clean throughout. pp. xxiv + 429 plus publisher's list. Overall a good copy of this classic poem.
