Published By: Wien Druckerei und Verlags

Published just before the outbreak of World War One, in 1913, this is a rare aviation manual, written by Josef Flassig who served as a K.u.K. Lieutenant and Field Pilot for the Austro-Hungarian Aviation troops. It was intended as a guide for Military and Civil pilots with special consideration of technical practice. It is embellished with numerous reference tables, technical figures and three specialised aviation maps. This copy bound in brown cloth with printed titles in black to the front is overall in good condition. The binding displaying just a little wear and fading to the spine. There is a neat signature to the title page and a small label to the verso of the frontispiece. Adverts feature on the front and rear endpapers with a little cracking to the gutters. The text block however, remains quite firm. The pages are slightly toned although clean and the three maps are present. pp. xii + 390. German text. A rare aviation book and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
