The Great Adventure The Story Of The Lafayette Escadrille is a 1937 biographical memoir written by Edwin Charles Parsons. E.C. Parsons was an American fighter pilot who served during World War I. It chronicles his first-hand experiences fighting alongside other volunteer American aviators before the United States officially entered the conflict. This copy bound in navy cloth is in good condition despite a little fading to the cloth especially to the spine. There is a previous owner's neat inscription and a little pencil annotation to the front free endpaper. The rest of the pages are lightly toned, there is a light mark to the base of chapter one, otherwise the pages are remarkably clean. Illustrated with several historic photographs. pp. 335. Overall a good copy and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
