St Mary's Books is proud to present this set of original 1930s "Sky Birds" magazines. Bound in their original paper covers, these periodicals feature vibrant and dynamic cover illustrations by Frank Tinsley and E. Franzden. Inside, the reader is treated to contemporary advertisements, novels, novelettes, facts, games, and more, supplemented by further black ink illustrations and cartoons. Within this set one finds the following issues - March and April 1930; August 1931; April, September, November, & December 1932; January-April, June-September, and November & December 1933; January, February, April, July, August & December 1934. This set is in good to very good condition - the majority of the volumes have been well-preserved, with only yellowed pages and some minor bumping and wearing to the corners and edges of the covers to report. The following issues are unfortunately missing their rear covers - September 1932, August 1934, and December 1934. Unfortunately, the paper on the spine of August 1934 has suffered significant damage and is largely lost. Otherwise, this set remains well preserved given its age and rarity. This 1930-1934 incomplete set of original "Sky Birds" magazines is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
