This book chronicles the extraordinary double career of Group Captain John Cunningham, who achieved national fame as a night time fighter ace in World War II before becoming a pioneer post-war commercial jet test-pilot. Cunningham earned his nickname, Cats Eyes, as the public face of the RAF's nocturnal defence force during the German bombing blitz. This copy, published in 1999 has a bookplate signed by both the author and John Cunningham to the front free endpaper. This is a very good copy with an unclipped dust jacket, which despite displaying a little edge, is bright and clean. The pages have no further marks or foxing and are superbly illustrated. pp. xiv + 225. A superb copy and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
