It is a German Military instructional manual and photo compilation published during World War I by the Commanding General of the Air Forces, Kommandierender General der Luftstreitkrafte. It was distributed to ground forces to teach them how to read, interpret, and utilise aerail photography and reconnaissance gathered by pilots for frontline combat coordination. This copy, bound with paper covers, features many sepia aerial photography. Although the front cover of this manual has become detached and shows grubby marks, and the pages exhibit creasing, toning, and light edge wear, the manual remains in good condition considering its age and use. A rare, historical First World War manual, from the German perspective. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
