How To Fly The Pilot and His Problems is an aviation book written by Lieutenant Barrett Studley. It was designed to bridge the gap between mechanical controls and the psychological judgment required to fly early biplanes safely. This copy, published in 1929 has an inscription " presented by F.C. Chichester 1953" together with a Royal Aero Club Library stamp to the front free endpaper, this ink stamp is repeated to the rear endpapers. Bound in grey cloth with titles printed in blue to the front and spine, the binding presents well despite being a little grubby. There is toning and a little wear to the spine. The text block is tight and the pages, although lightly toned are very clean. Illustrated with several historic photographs. pp. xii + 291. A must for any aviation enthusiast and part of a huge aviation collection just acquired by St Marys Books.
