St Marys Books are proud to present this wonderful series of books, written by Bertha Upton and illustrated by her daughter Florence K. Upton. The books were inspired by a rag doll "Golliwogg" from Florence's childhood and were hugely popular in the late 19th century and early 20th century. The stories follow the adventures of two wooden Dutch peg dolls, who come to life on Christmas Eve and team up with Golliwogg. This set includes 12 titles in the series, it lacks the final title, Golliwogg in the African Jungle. All have been well loved throughout the years and display loose and chipped pages, some lack prelims, and pages and two at least have pencil scribblings
