It details the life, engineering breakthroughs, and tragic end of Percy Pilcher, a late 19th century British aviation pioner. This copy, published in 1987 has an inscription signed from the author to the title page. The book is in very good condition with just a little wear to the dust jacket. The pages are free of any marks or inscriptions and illustrated with several historic photographs and diagrams. pp. xi + 226. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
