Jude The Obscure is one of Thomas Hardy's most famous works, set within his fictional, semi-historical region of Wessex. This Wessex Edition, published in 1929 is simply and elegantly bound in burgundy cloth with gilt decoration and titles to the spine. The binding displays very little wear although very lightly faded to the extremities and spine. Internally the pages are clean and illustrated with a photogravure frontispiece and a folding map to the rear. pp. xii + 494 + 2. A lovely gift idea for any Thomas Hardy enthusiast.
