This copy of Wuthering Heights and Agnes Grey is the fifth volume in the The Life and Works of Charlotte Bronte and Her Sisters series. Wuthering Heights and Agnes Grey were originally published as a three volume joint edition representing the debut novels of sisters Emily & Anne Bronte. This copy, published in 1894 has a lovely green cloth binding with printed detail in black to the front and gilt titles to the spine. It is beautifully illustrated with a frontispiece and vignette to the half-title page, with several more illustrations throughout. This copy is in good condition displaying just a little bumping to the corners and a lean to the spine. The text block remains quite firm despite a little cracking to the internal hinges. There is a previous owner's neat inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper and minor foxing to the prelims. Otherwise, this is a lovely, clean copy of a literary masterpiece. pp. xxii + 488. An idealf gift for any Bronte enthusiast.
