It is the third installment in their influential ten part Martin Beck series, which is widely credited with pioneering the Nordic Noir genre. This UK First Edition, published by Victor Gollancz Ltd in 1969 is complete with its iconic yellow and magenta dust jacket. The dust jacket although unclipped, does display a little age-related discolouration. The red cloth boards underneath are bright and clean, there is a light lean to the spine. The pages are beautifuly clean with no foxing, inscriptions or marks. pp. 180. Overall a very good copy and the perfect gift for any mystery enthusiast.
