The Quick and the Dead The Story of a Chief Test Pilot is a highly candid, controversial autobiography written by Second World War veteran Squadron-Leader W.A. Waterton. It offers a blistering, behind the scenes expose of the British aviation industry and the Air Ministry during the early post-war jet age. This copy published in 1956 is complete with its pictorial dust jacket. The dust jacket displays a little edge wear, especially to the spine, although it remains in a good clean condition. The navy cloth boards underneath are in excellent condition while the pages are clean. Illustrated with several historic black and white photographs. pp. x + 237. A lovely book and a must for any aviation enthusiast.
