War In The Air is a speculative future war novel written under the pseudonym "Major Helders" by Robert Knauss. First published in Germany in 1932 it was translated into English by Claud W. Sykes and published by John Hamilton as part of their famous Ace series. This copy is complete with its original dust jacket, which exhibits light shelf wear, uniform sunning to the spine, and minor chipping at the extremities. This volume shows a slight lean to the spine, and the underlying blue cloth boards are faintly faded. There is light foxing along the fore-edge that occasionally intrudes onto the margins, the interior however, remains clean. The text is complete with its original blue-and-white colour plates and and a folding map to the rear. pp. 254. Overall a good copy and scarce with the original dust jacket. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
