Two volumes, bound with striking red boards, with gilt emblem to front cover and gilt title to spine. Plaque to front pasted down endpaper. Both have a frontispiece of Archbishop Tait, as a young man in volume I and older in volume II. Pages are clean although tanned due to age. Binding on volume two is somewhat loose, making the spine lean. Some shelf wear to both volumes, mainly to extremities although with some dirty marks on the front covers.
