Stunning full leather in fine condition with intricate gilding, remarkably bright, to front and spine. Slight scuffing to corners. Top of textblock gilded with occasional scratches and fore edge and bottom shows occasional foxing, hardly noticeable. Brown endpapers with slight scratch. Full colour, full page frontispiece and beautiful title page with red patterned border and detailed ship insignia. Rear of title page and foreword stuck together. Pages bright and clean with occasional foxing and 16 colour illustrations by Rowland Wheelwright. pp.423. Overall very good. Would make a lovely gift.
