A fascinating snapshot into Picasso's portraits and liasons of women in Canne and Nougins (1954-63). Dust jacket depicts a portrait in multi-media. Touching photographic frontispiece of Picasso and Jacqueline in black and white. Clean, bright pages with tipped colour plates printed in France. Each micro-chapter begins with a cool crayon letter devised by Picasso himself emphasising his naive style and boldly introducing the text by Helene Parmelin and translated by Humphrey Hare. A Preface is by Douglas Cooper. Small rips to the jacket as well as some staining to the front right edge. A very tight binding. Original textured cloth boards have a unique Picasso multi-colour crayon design to the front. pp.199. Good overall. This is a heavy book and may incur extra postage.
