This lovely 2004 First Edition of "Amtrack" by Brian Solomon, one of today's most accomplished Railway Historians, is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. This hardback book has a pictoral board which matches its dustjacket exactly - a smartly presented cover which prominently features a full colour photograph of an Amtrack train. Inside, one finds charming free endpapers, which display detailed maps of the Amtrack routes before and after 1972. Beyond this, this book has 160 pages of text including indicies, and the detail the author provides about the history of Amtrack is peppered with beautiful full-colour photographs. This book is in very good condition, there are no notable imperfections to the dustjacket or the interior. This book is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for any US train enthusiast, or Amtrack historian.
