This lovely circa 1902 edition of "The Badminton Library: Motors and Motor-Driving" by Alfred Harmsworth, with contributions by several other writers, is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Bound in brown cloth, the front board features stunning black and red ink illustrations of the Badminton Library, and beautiful gilt decorations and lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 460 pages of text, peppered with diagrams, illustrations, and black and white photographs. This book is in good condition - there is some wearing to the illustrations on the cover, and some bumping to the boards. In addition, the front free endpapers and some other prelims are missing and so the book begins with the frontispiece. This makes it difficult to place this books year and edition, but we estimate it to be around 1902. This lovely book is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any vintage motoring enthusiasts.
